Frequently asked questions about pricing
Why a one-time payment for the Night plan?
Because a wedding, a bachelorette party or a birthday is a one-off event: charging a monthly subscription for something that lasts one night would mean billing for unused months. The Night plan is therefore built on the principle of "one event, one invoice": €29 paid once, covering one universe with unlimited photos, 6 months of retention and Google Drive backup. There is nothing to cancel, no automatic renewal, no hidden fee — once the event is over and the photos retrieved, everything winds down by itself. This sets it apart from most competing services, which are usually sold in price tiers based on photo count or duration. The monthly subscription only exists at Photobooth for the Studio plan, designed for organisers who genuinely run events all year round.
Which plan suits a pro photographer or agency?
The Studio plan, at €59 per month, is built for professionals juggling several events at once: photographers, wedding planners, event agencies. It includes unlimited universes — each wedding, bachelorette party or corporate offsite gets its own private space —, unlimited photo retention, Google Drive backup on every universe, a custom domain and priority support. Concretely, running ten weddings, five bachelorette parties and three offsites in parallel adds no per-event surcharge: the price stays €59 per month. The plan can be cancelled at any time, by simple email, with no justification and no penalty. From three events a year onwards, Studio already costs less than stacking individual Night plans at €29 each; beyond that, the gap widens quickly in favour of the subscription.
Is Google Drive backup included on every plan?
Google Drive backup is included on the Night plan (€29, one-time payment) and on the Studio plan (€59 per month) — where it covers every universe without limit. It is not available on the free Discover plan, which focuses on the essential: testing the photo collection in real conditions. The mechanism is identical on both paid plans: once the Drive is connected from the admin panel, every new photo dropped by a guest is automatically and incrementally copied to a "Photobooth/" folder in the organiser's personal Drive, sorted by guest nickname. The authorisation used is Google's restricted drive.file scope: the app only accesses folders it created itself, never the rest of the Drive, and access can be revoked at any time from the Google account settings.
How does payment work?
Billing currently works manually, with a human on the other side rather than an automated checkout. The flow: the organiser submits a universe request through the site's contact form, receives a Stripe payment link or bank transfer details in reply, and the universe opens upon receipt of payment — requests are handled within 24 business hours. For the Discover plan, no payment and no credit card are required: the test universe opens directly. This manual circuit has a concrete upside: every request can come with guidance (setup advice, thematic film roll preparation, QR code kit), and specific needs — company invoicing, quotes, purchase orders — are settled in the same exchange. A proper invoice is issued for every paid plan.
Can I cancel the Studio plan?
Yes, at any time and unconditionally: a simple email is enough, with no justification required and no exit penalty. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid — active universes remain fully live until then, and zip download access is kept, leaving time to retrieve every photo from every event. Photos already backed up to Google Drive are naturally unaffected: they sit in the organiser's personal Drive and stay there indefinitely, independently of the subscription. There is no minimum commitment and no forced renewal: the Studio plan at €59 per month is meant to be useful while it serves, and easy to leave when event activity slows down — for instance during a wedding photographer's off-season. Re-subscribing later is just as simple.
Is there a discount for multiple events?
The volume discount is built into the plan structure rather than promo codes. The break-even point is easy to compute: from three events in a year, the Studio plan at €59 per month becomes cheaper than stacking Night plans at €29 each — and it adds unlimited retention, a custom domain and priority support on top. A concrete corporate example: four offsites a year on Studio come out at roughly €15 per event; ten events bring the unit cost under €6. For significantly higher volumes — agencies handling dozens of events a year, specific integration or invoicing needs — a message through the contact form is enough to discuss custom pricing.
